Requested by

NELBEM - Kenya

Who are you trying to help? What issue are you trying to address?

In this project we are trying to help the poor farmers of Barut Location in Nakuru who are in need of support in order to drill a new borehole for water.

Many women are forced to walk up to 4 km to seek for water and the water they find is often not good for human consumption but since they do not have any options they do consume it hence the rising of various diseases such as typhoid fever among other water borne diseases.

The project is the drilling of a new water borehole and building of water reserve tank which can distribute water to the over 1000 people living in the western part of the location who are badly struck by drought or water shortage every now and then.
