Requested by
CAP FoundationWho are you trying to help? What issue are you trying to address?
The CAP Foundation (Circle Against Poverty) started in 2008 and from that time to now we are trying to put our level best for our nation. We are working on poverty issues in Pakistan, especially to
• educate the children,
• provide food and clothes to poor and needy people,
• provide clean water and medicine for flood victims.
• conduct workshops for awareness in people.
Last year Pakistan faced a very horrible flood. Millions of people were affected. CAP has helped them with food, clothes, clean water and medicine with money from our local fund.
What is your project and how will it help?
Food for flood victims
Also this year there were unusual heavy rain that affected the people of Pakistan and destroyed thousands of villages and 22 district areas in Sindh Province alone. Children have lost their schools and books. Hundreds of people are died of malnutrition. No clothes, shelter, clean water and other necessity of lives in the flooded area. Hundreds of people are dying from malaria and dengue fever in Punjab. Millions of people affected by the flood this year are those who are still suffering from last year’s floods, which affected 20 million people across the country.
Thousand acres of crops are destroyed. In many areas no stover or fodder for the animals. The children’s fund of the United Nations, has said that up to 2.5 million children have been affected by the severe monsoon floods in the southern parts of the country, many of whom are still recovering from the worst floods in the country’s history just a year ago.
