The name Nido di Speranza is an Italian phrase which means “Nest of Hope”. Nido di Speranza is a registered non profit organisation (NPO) and Voluntary Organisation (VO), committed to change, grow, love and aspire for the poor and marginalized communities and especially hope of the children. Its vision is to impact the lives of poor and marginalized communities in Cameroon whose future is being threatened by HIV/AIDS, abandonment and poverty. Its desire is to see the poor and underprivileged youths especially those with disabilities find a home where they can experience loving relationships and be part of a secure family environment and gain economic independence. Thus, providing job skills to youth with disabilities, orphans, street children and vulnerable children from at risk homes in the community. The organisation desires for the youth to live up to their potential. It wants them to be able to earn a living wage so they can provide for themselves, their families and grow to be valued and contributing members of our community. Nido di Speranza is working to create a more just and equitable global society in which all individuals, families and communities have a meaningful opportunity to improve the quality of their lives for themselves and future generations.
